Welcome at the airport and transfer to Hanoi. Enjoy a show of Water Puppetry. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2. East-to-west Vietnam Venturing Expedition: Hanoi – Babe Lake (B/L/D)

Leave Hanoi for Babe Lakes with stop at Hanoi Ethnology Museum for an overview of ethnical groups in Vietnam. Overnight Babe Lakes.

Day 3. East-to-west Vietnam Venturing Expedition: Boat Trip On Ba Be Lake – Bao Lac – Cao Bang (B/L/D)

Boat trip in BaBe lakes, stopover to visits to Puong Cave, Dau Dang waterfall and Fairy Pond. Driving to Bao Lac, Cao Bang for overnight.

Day 4. East-to-west Vietnam Venturing Expedition: Bao Lac – Meo Vac – Dong Van – Yen Minh (B/L/D)

Enjoying a colorful mountain weekly market at Meo Vac and / or Dong van before heading to the Geopark with unique and magnificent scenery in Dong Van. Visit the house of H’mong King. Overnight in Yen Minh.

Day 5. East-to-west Vietnam Venturing Expedition: Yen Minh – Ha Giang – Bac Quang – Pho Rang – Bac Ha (B/L/D)

Visiting Yen Minh and hiking in ethnic villages nearby. Passing “heaven gate” at Quang Ba, then enjoying the beauty of Fairy Bosom Mountains in Quan Ba before going to Bac Ha for overnight.

Day 6. East-to-west Vietnam Venturing Expedition: Bac Ha – Coc Ly – Sapa (B/L)

Morning joining bustling Tuesday market in Coc Ly, known local hilltribes. Heading to Sapa, the hub of most hectic activities in the Northwest, for overnight.

Day 7. East-to-west Vietnam Venturing Expedition: Sapa Trekking Tour (B)

Discovery of Flower gardens, Taphin valley of Red Dzao people, Lao Chai and Tavan villages by trekking thru terraced ricefields. Overnight in Sapa. Optional: Stay at leisure in Sapa for own discovery.

Day 8. East-to-west Vietnam Venturing Expedition: Sapa – O Quy Ho Pass – Dien Bien Phu (B/L)

Leaving Sapa for Dien Bien Phu old battlefield with stops en route to enjoy the magnificence of O Quy Ho Pass and visit the biggest Reservoir of hydropower plant of Vietnam. Overnight in Dien Bien Phu.

Day 9. East-to-west Vietnam Venturing Expedition: Dien Bien Phu – Son La – Mai Chau (B/L)

Full-day discovery of historical site of Dien Bien Phu including A1 Hill, Dien Bien Museum, the Shelter of General De Castri and War Memorials. Overnight in Dien Bien.

Day 10. East-to-west Vietnam Venturing Expedition: Dien Bien Phu – Son La – Mai Chau (B/L/D)

Overland to Mai Chau via Son La with stopovers to visit villages en route. Visit tea farms at Moc Chau and beautiful valley inhabited by Thai ethnic people. Dinner and overnight at a house-on-stilts Mai Chau.

Day 11. East-to-west Vietnam Venturing Expedition: Mai Chau – Xa Linh – Hoa Binh – Hanoi (B/L)

Hiking around ricefields in Mai Chau before coming to Xa Linh Sunday market of the “Blue” H’mong people with extremely graceful girls in strange hair style and hair switch. Back to Hanoi for overnight. Optional: Stopover to visit the Hydropower plant in Hoabinh by the Black River.

Full day transfer from Hanoi to Viet Quang town let, Ha Giang Province along national road 2 via Phuc Yen, Viet Tri, Tuyen Quang with several breaks along the way for resting and sightseeing. Lunch at a popular restaurant in Tuyen Quang and arrive in Viet Quang in mid afternoon. The rest hours is set free to relax and have preparation for 3 days trekking afterwards.

Day 2 – Far North Vietnam Tour: Viet Quang – Vi Xuyen – Vang Luong – Cao Bang (B; L; D)

Ha Giang Trekking Tour

Leave Viet Quang at 08.00 for a road ride for 1,5 hour along national road 2 to Vi Xuyen Town Let (35 km) and then turn left to a narrow paved road 15 km and arrive at Vang Luong Village (Thuong Son Commune) at 09.30. This 15 km portion of the road trip offers stunning landscapes.
– The trek begins from here (1,110ft) for about 6 hours along a tream which running between 2 high mountain ranges, through Thuong Son Commune, passing small villages of the Tay peopoles scaterring on the low land of the narrow valley and Zao peoples on the higher hilly land gradually uphill to Cao Banh Village of the Zao ao dai (Zao with long dress) ethnic peoples. Settle down at a local homes, freshen up and relax

Day summary: Transfer 60 km, approx. 1,5 hour // Trekking: 5 hours, grade 3 of 5 // Home stay.

Day 3 – Far North Vietnam Tour: Cao Bang – Dan Khao – Hop Nhat Village (B; L; D)

Breakfast and leave Cao Banh Village at 08.30. The trail winds its way uphill for about 4 hours via several small villages of the Zao peoples to the top of the pass (Heaven Gate) at the hight of 3975ft. As the trails gets higher, the stunning view of the region opens wider and the population gets thinner. The clients will enjoy magnificent landscapes of the terraced fields below the trails and thick forest covering the higher land and mountains.
– Long lunch break at the Heaven Gate and from here great view of the two side of the Tay Con Linh opens as wide as one’s sight.
– The way down is about 6 km and little bit steep and narrow for the first 2 km and then getting easier as the trails comes down to the lowerland, passing a small hamlet of the Co Lao ethnic peoples before arriving to Hop Nhat Village of Tung San Commune.
– Walking around this village of the Zao peoples which sits on a earthen hill and over looking down a stunning valley.

Day 4 – Far North Vietnam Tour: Hop Nhat – Tung San – Hoang Su Phi – Xin Man – Bac Ha (B; L; D)

Leaving Hop Nhat Village at 08.30 and follow a narrow trails (image) downhill for about 4 hours through Hop Nhat village to the center of Tung San Commune and then continue to Thanh Giay Village, home to the Nung, Tay, Han and Hoa ethnic peoples. Walking around the village and paying visiting to local homes before picked up at Tan Tien junction and transfer to Hoang Su Phi Town Let for Lunch.
– Transfer by road 78 km to Bac Ha via Xin Man Town Let. Clients will enjoy many photo stops and paying quick visit to some small hamlets of the Flower H’mong along the way and arrive in Bac Ha at about 17.00.

Day 5 – Far North Vietnam Tour: Bac Ha – Sapa – Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – Su Pan – Topas-ecolodge (B; L; -)

Sapa: Topas Ecolodge

Breakfast and leaving Bac Ha along road 155 downhill to Lao Cai (72 km) with stops along the way to visit a small hamlet of the Phu La ethnic peoples(13km from Bac Ha), taking a short walk uphill to see tea plantation near Phong Hai (39 km before Lao Cai). Enjoy a coffee break at Lao Cai City before drving uphill for an hour to Sapa (38 km).
– Arriving in Sapa at noon, lunch break in a restaurant and then spend half an hour walking around this charming town. Leaving Sapa town at 13.30 and drive southwards for 12 km to Ta Van Vilage. Start trekking from Ta Van to Giang Ta Chai Village of the Red Zao (1,5 hours) through terraced rice paddies and bamboo forest. After visiting local homes at Giang Ta Chai, the group will cross Muong Hoa River and then trekking uphill to Su Pan village of the H’mong and down to the motor way.
– Pick up and transfer for half an hour to Topas ecolodge, check in and relax.

Day summary: Transfer: 130 km // Trekking: 2,5 hours, grade 2 of 5 // Topas ecolodge.

Day 6 – Far North Vietnam Tour: Topas Ecolodge – Sapa – Binh Lu – Lai Chau (B; L; D)

Breakfast and check out Topas Ecolodge at 08.00. Picked up and transfer 32 km via to Sapa and Tram Ton Pass. Enjoy a short break at the Silver Waterfall for a miring this nature wonder and then 20 minutes at Tram Ton Pass (Heaven Gate) for stunning scenery of Fasipan Mount and Sapa Valley as well as great view of the west side of Hoang Lien range.
– Continue driving 27 km downhill to Chu Va village of the Red H’mong. Walk for an hour to visit this village which beautifully sits near the food of the pass by the side of a river before continue 8 km to Binh Lu Town let, lunch break here.
– After lunch, take a short drive 2 km through the lush Binh Lu Valley to Pa Pe village of the Lu ethnic peoples who where beautiful traditional costumes and still dye their teeth black. Walk for half an hour to visit this village before continue the road trip to Lai Chau Town (Old Tam Duong). Arriving in Tam Duong at about 16.00, check in hotel. The rest of the afternoon is for exploring villages of the tribal peoples in the country side including the Black Zao and Zao Tien (Zao with coins) and enjoy a peaceful walk to see tea farm in the suburb of Lai Chau.

Day 7 – Far North Vietnam Tour: Lai Chau – Sin Ho – Muong Lay – Dien Bien Phu (B; L; -)

Son La: Muong Lay Village

Leaving Lai Chau at 08.00 for a drive through the beautiful region along the back road for nearly 3 hours to Muong Lay (Old Lai Chau Town) via Sin Ho district. The road trip offers stunning landscapes of large valley, fabulous forest and the group will take some short stops along the way to pay visit to villages of the Red H’mong and Thai peoples before arriving to Muong Lay town let. Spend half an hour walking around Muong Lay valley before having lunch.
– Arriving in Dien Bien Phu at about 15.00 and spend the rest hours in the afternoon for historical sightseeing around Dien Bien Phu former battle fields famous for the last campaign of the Viet Minh (Vietnamese communist forces) against the French colonial army. The sights for visiting include the A1 hill, Dien Bien Phu Museum, the head quarter of the French army and the beautiful Muong Thanh valley.
– Check in hotel and at 17.30 and free to explore Dien Bien Phu city in the evening.

Passing Tuyen Quang town, you can visit village of black Tay minority. Arrive Ha Giang town in the late afternoon you’ll arrive at Me village – A peaceful and green village of Tay people just about 6km from Ha Giang. Located in the middle of green rice field, the village had been very well planned built with great traditional house on stilts.

After breakfast, you’ll drive to the small communities of Yen Minh via Quan Ba pass. Today is a real challenge however the breath-taking scenery makes the hardship all worthwhile. Take a 2-hour easy trek to visit villages of Tay and Dzay people en route before lunch in Yen Minh. In the afternoon, heading to Dong Van via Ma Pi Leng pass. This is one of the best photo stop to enjoy the wonderful sightseeing of this vast limestone mountain range and perpendicular walls of rock, which brings one a feeling of adventure whilst being lost in the rocky highlands. Check-in a local guest house in Dong Van. Your guide will show you the Dong Van Old Streets located by the market. You’ll spend the night in Dong Van.

Day 3 – Ha Giang And Tuyen Quang Combination Tour: Dong Van – Yen Minh – Quan Ba (B/L/D)

Breakfast in Dong Van then leave for the Vuong’s Palace. The building used to belong to a King of H’mong people during the French domination. The palace attracts keen interest from architecturally minded visitors due to it mixed style of European and Chinese architecture. You might catch up a weekly market frequented the ethnic minority en route. Late in the afternoon, you’ll call at in a a flax weaving village before arriving at a guest house in Quan Ba for overnight accommodation.

Tuyen Quang: The Dao Ethnic Group

Breakfast outside of hotel. Local guide says good bye to you, we return to Tuyen Quang, we stop some interest points. Go to My Lam for some hours at leisure at Hot spring. Check in hotel in Tuyen Quang town.

Tuyen Quang owns 300 historical cultural vestiges. The famous one is Tan Trao Historical Site.Na Hang Primitive Forest. It is home of valuable fauna and flora such as Dinh, Mun (ebony trees), Sen (bassia), ape, panther, flying weasel, antelope, and upturned-nosed monkey. And The sounds of the waterfall, birds and gibbons, and silver light going through the thick layers in Thac Mo (Mo Waterfall) provide enjoyable feeling for visitors.

Free time to explore the town and afternoon market.

Day 5 – Ha Giang And Tuyen Quang Combination Tour:  Tuyen Quang – Viettri – Hanoi (B/L/-)

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Ha Noi on No.2 national road. Arrive Vietri – an industrial city, taking break half an hour. We reach to Ha Noi after 4 hours from Tuyen Quang. Free time.

Depart for Moc Chau. On the way, visit Hoa Binh Hydroelectricity station. Stop at the top of Cun pass for taking photos and enjoy the fresh air. Visit Lac, PomCoong village. Then continue to Moc Chau.
Moc Chau Plateau lies in a temperate climate region, with average summer temperatures of 20°C, covers an area of 1,600 hectares of prairie, where visitors feel at ease and close to nature when viewing farms of tea trees, paddy fields and vast areas of grass.  It is considered as the Da Lat of the North and very  attractive to those who want enjoying the cool and natural fresh air.

Breakfast outside of hotel. Local guide says good bye to you, we return to Tuyen Quang, we stop some interest points. Go to My Lam for some hours at leisure at Hot spring. Check in hotel in Tuyen Quang town. Free time to explore the town and afternoon market.

Day 8 – Hanoi Adventure Tour Via Moc Chau To Ha Giang : Tuyen Quang – Viet Tri – Hanoi (B/L/-)

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Ha Noi on No.2 national road. Arrive Vietri – an industrial city, taking break half an hour. We reach to Ha Noi after 4 hours from Tuyen Quang. Free time.

Day 1 – Vietnam Northeast Eco-tour: Hanoi – Babe Lakes (-/L/D)

Bac Kan: Boat Trip on Ba Be Lake

Depart from Hanoi for Thai Nguyen where the finest green tea in Vietnam is grown, visit Museum of Ethnology. Have lunch in Thai Nguyen City. Onto Babe National Park, boat trip to Pac Ngoi village, Tay minority. There you will stay in one of the traditional wooden houses in the Tay Hamlets of spectacular Ba Be National Park.
Vietnam’s largest natural lake, Ho Ba Be forms the core of the delightful Ba Be National Park, a feast of limestone and tropical forest. Enclosed by steep, densely wooded slopes breaking out here and there into white limestone cliffs, the lake is 7km long, up to 30m deep and a kilometre wide in parts. A few islands decorate the surface.
Dinner and home stay.

Day 2 – Vietnam Northeast Eco-tour: Ba Be Adventure Tours To Cao Bang (B/L)

Babe Lake is home to hundreds of species of wild animals, many registered in Vietnam’s Red Book of Rare and Valuable Animals and Plants. You may even see a Tibetan bear or a “snub-nose” primate. In the morning, take an unusual boat ride on three big, deep, startlingly green lakes that lie nestled in limestone mountains formed over 200 million years ago, Puong Cave – where thousands of bats, visit Fairy ponds, Dau Dang Waterfall. Have lunch in the village before depart for Cao Bang. Car picks up then drives to Cao Bang. Stay overnight in Cao Bang.

Day 3 – Vietnam Northeast Eco-tour: Cao Bang Adventure Tours To Ban Gioc Waterfall – Cao Bang (B/L)

Drive to Ban Gioc, one of the most wonderful waterfall in Vietnam –  suspended a border river broken and fallen down. Ban Gioc is the Vietnam’s highest waterfall, right on the border with China. The province is home to several ethnic minorities, notably the Dao, Nung and Tay who still maintain their traditional way of life in the more remote uplands. Cross the stream and you are in China. Have picnic lunch. Drive back to Cao Bang.
Have dinner and overnight at hotel in Cao Bang.

Day 4 – Vietnam Northeast Eco-tour: Cao Bang Adventure Tours To Ban Gioc Waterfall – Cao Bang (B/L)

Drive along the highway No 4. along the border with China. Highway No 4 famed with alot of battles during French war with historic area such as Dong Khe, That Khe…. Visit an enchanting complex of little shrines from the 18th century, hidden away in caves. See how the Vietnamese people practice Buddhism in the traditional way. Have lunch in the restaurant. Stop at Lang Son for a bordergate market. Go on to Halong for overnight.

Day 6 – Vietnam Northeast Eco-tour: Halong – Cat Ba Island – Rock climbing (B/L)

Halong Bay: Nam Cat Island

Today is all about adventure and fun with experienced, professionally accredited rock climbing guides taking you to the best climbing sites in the bay. In the afternoon take a boat to Nam Cat Island for an evening of simplicity, stars and seafood. Enjoy a Vietnamese style BBQ dinner on the beach.
Nam Cat Island is a small one of Lan Ha Bay of the world biosphere reserve of Cat Ba Island. It is endowed with amazing seascapes and surrounded by a range of limestone mounts, in which is five white sandy beaches of cool crystal clean water and various floras.
It takes you about 30 minutes from Cai Beo pier by junk boat to Nam Cat Island’s white sandy beach. Upon landing on the island,deeply breathing the very fresh air and the real natural smell of sea breeze, stepping your bared foot on sand to feel the exclusive experience in this beautiful island.
Overnight at Catba Town.

Day 7 – Vietnam Northeast Eco-tour: Cat Ba Island – Hai Phong – Hanoi  (B/L)

After a local style breakfast on the beach, board a traditional junk and cruise the bay.Our guide will take you kayaking and exploring small private beaches to swim and relax (weather permitting). Enjoy lunch on the bay before cruising back to Cat Ba Island to board the express boat to Hai Phong.  Depart for Hanoi with memories of an adventure that will stay with you for a lifetime.
